Deadlines: Round 1 nominations: July 11th Round 2 nominations: July 22nd
Selection Process:
All selections are determined by a voting process with the exception of top hitter, top offensive player, top achiever, remarkable performance, and top pitcher which are awarded by statistics and achievement. All teams are required to participate in the all-conference program. The process used for the selection of conference teams is as follows:
Round 1: Coaches nominate up to a maximum of 5 players from their team by position (catcher, pitcher, infielder, outfielder and utility) who they think should be given conference team consideration. Please note that players who do not have the minimum number of 106 at bats (48x2.2) or 48 innings pitched (48x1) cannot be nominated. The names of these players should be submitted for the top achiever award. If you think you have more than 5 players submit names for committee consideration. Also, submit the name of one player from your team for MVP, Golden Glove, and Rookie (a first year player). These players could be the same players nominated for all conference team consideration.
Round 2: The names of Round 1 nominations are compiled and e-mailed to coaches. Coaches will nominate players not on their team to conference teams and for individual awards from this player nomination list. Please submit your selections on the round 2 form.
Round 3: The Round 2 placements are summarized with the number of nominations players received noted by their name. The votes are tallied and the players with the greatest number of votes are placed on the conference teams. Votes tallied as follows: round 2 nominations: one point for nomination; 1st team (2pts); 2nd team (1pt).
Round 4: The selection committee meets to verify conference team selections after reviewing points tallied and a discussion.
Round 5: All- conference teams will be posted on the PBL website after the final game of the Final 4 Championship.
