The CCBC season opened with the Coyotes taking on the University of Calgary Dinos. Zach Burlon went 8 innings to pick up his first conference win as the Coyotes routed the Dinos 7-4 at Elks Stadium. Jeff Bouchard, David Mabon, and Tyler Pentland led the offense with hits on the evening. Jeff May pitched a scoreless 9th inning to pick up his first save. Dinos starter Joel Holland took the loss in his first CCBC start. “Burlon again threw well, he left a couple pitches up that cost us a couple runs, however he made some big pitches went it counted to keep the game close and give us a chance to come back. It was encouraging to see our guys scrap back after a 3-0 deficit with some quality at bats. It was also encouraging for Jeff May to shut the door in the 9th and pick up his first save. Being back at home was also welcomed change after being on the road for 19 straight.”- Head Coach Geoff White
